Executive Software Undelete

Executive Software Undelete captures deleted files in the application's RecoveryBin directory and its subdirectories. If your source files are specified to be backed up with LiveVault Online Backup and Recovery Service, then the files which were deleted can be restored from the LiveVault Online Backup and Recovery Service. This makes backing up the files in the RecoveryBin directory and its subdirectories redundant.

LiveVault Online Backup and Recovery Service Agent version 3.6 and later automatically exclude the Executive Software Undelete RecoveryBin directory and its subdirectories. If you are running an earlier Agent version, you must manually create the exclusion.

In the tree view on the Files to Backup tab, you will see the icon for the automatically excluded directories and subdirectories. Parent directories of the automatically excluded directories are marked in MyLiveVault with one of the "partially excluded" icons, either (if a parent directory is selected), or (if a parent directory is not selected).

Create the following exclusion for each local volume:

Exclude <vol>:\RecoveryBin\* (plus subdirectories)

Where <vol> represents your local volume containing the specified directory. For example:

Exclude C:\RecoveryBin\* (plus subdirectories)
Exclude D:\RecoveryBin\* (plus subdirectories)
